The Story of a Photographer
Hey there! I’m genuinely excited to share my photography journey with you. It all began over 15 years ago in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas. Leaving behind my career in the medical field to embrace motherhood was a monumental shift for me. I was on the lookout for something that would ignite my creativity and fill my days with purpose, and that’s when my husband surprised me with a Canon Rebel camera. It felt like a new chapter had begun!
I threw myself into wedding photography for about five years, pouring my heart into every celebration and capturing the love and joy of couples on their special day. While it was fulfilling, the long 12-hour weekends started to weigh on me. I realized I longed for a different rhythm—something that allowed me to capture the essence of childhood, family bonds, and the unique spirit of high school seniors. That’s where I found my true passion!
In 2019, my life took another turn when we learned we would be relocating to Seattle, Washington in just six months. It was a mix of excitement and nostalgia as I packed up my beloved Texas business. Leaving behind a place that had been so foundational was bittersweet, but the journey ahead promised new adventures. To my surprise, I’ve fallen in love with Seattle—the enchanting clouds, the soothing rain, the occasional snow, and those beautiful summer days that remind me of my favorites in Texas.
My new community has embraced me with warmth, and while Texas will always hold cherished memories, I’m grateful for the fresh beginnings and connections I've found here. So, what’s next on my journey? This fall, I’m heading back to the classroom to pursue a degree in Nursing. It’s a big step, but I believe in following our dreams and making the most out of life. After all, why not? Here’s to new adventures, capturing heartfelt moments, and the beautiful journey ahead!
